ON WITH THE SHOW 2025 – FINAL DETAILS
Staging/blocking and dress rehearsals will be held at The Arts & Culture Centre. Dancers should enter the building through the performers’ entrance, which is located on the Prince Phillip Drive side of the building.
There will be one staging rehearsal and one dress rehearsal per class. Due to time restrictions imposed by the Arts & Culture Centre, some dancers may have staging and dress rehearsal on the same day. Please read the schedule carefully to determine which staging and dress rehearsals each dancer must attend. Please look for your regular class time and the teacher for that class as there are multiple classes with the same dance name on different performance nights.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the studio at (709) 753-8782 or by email at info@thedancecentreonline.com
Staging Rehearsals
• Staging rehearsals will be held on Sunday, May 11th and Monday, May 12th. There will be one staging rehearsal for each class.
• Due to new safety regulations at the Arts & Culture Centre, parents/guardians will be unable to enter the theatre during these rehearsals. Children will be collected from you in the lower concourse (at the Prince Phillip Drive entrance of the building) and you may wait for them there during this short rehearsal.
• Costumes and makeup are not required for staging rehearsals.
Dress Rehearsals
• Dress rehearsals for all shows will be held on Sunday, May 11th and Monday, May 12th. Each class will perform in one dress rehearsal.
• Dancers should arrive in costumes and makeup. Hair is to be worn off the face and in a bun.
• All costumes and shoes should be labeled to avoid confusion.
• We ask parents/guardians of our young performers to please take coats/boots/etc. when children are dropped off at the Arts & Culture Centre. The children will be seated in the audience for dress rehearsals and we do not want items to be lost.
• No food will be permitted in the audience. Only liquids will be permitted.
• It is imperative that all valuables and money be left at home. The Arts and Culture Centre is an open public building, therefore The Dance Centre cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
